Advanced Features
Credits Limiter Per Chatbot
If you are a reseller of our chatbots and manage multiple chatbots, you can set a monthly credit limit for each chatbot you've sold. This feature is available in the Settings > General tab.
How Credit Limits Work
Credit Allocation
- You can set a specific monthly credit limit for each chatbot
- The default input field accepts numeric values (e.g., 1000 credits).
- The number of 0 means no limit.
- Monthly credit consumption resets at the start of each month
Behavior When Limits Are Reached
The chatbot will stop responding when either:
- The specified credit limit is reached
- The account's total credits are depleted
Professional Plan Users with API Key
When using your own API key:
- Usage metrics won't appear in analytics (no credits being tracked)
- Credit tracking continues in the limiter section because we want to limit the usage of the chatbot even if the chatbot is using your own API key.
- Responses will stop once the specified non-zero limit is reached
Important Notes
- Setting a limit of zero means:
- No specific credit cap for that chatbot
- The chatbot will only be limited by total account credits
- Credit consumption is tracked and displayed (e.g., "Credits Consumed: 422")
- You can set different limits for different chatbots based on your business needs
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the per-chatbot credits limiter used for?
This feature is intended for users who manage multiple chatbots, especially resellers, and want to assign a monthly credit cap to each chatbot individually. The guide says it is available under `Settings > General`.
How do monthly chatbot credit limits work?
You can enter a numeric monthly limit for each chatbot, such as `1000` credits, and the guide says usage resets at the start of each month. It also states that a value of `0` means there is no chatbot-specific limit.
What happens when a chatbot reaches its credit limit?
The chatbot stops responding once either its configured credit limit is reached or the account's total available credits are depleted.
Does the credit limiter still work if I use my own API key?
Yes. The guide explains that even when you use your own API key and analytics usage metrics are not shown, credit tracking in the limiter section still continues so the chatbot can still be restricted when a non-zero limit is reached.
